TL;DR

Team Lead Software Engineer (.NET): Leading a product engineering team to build an all-in-one business credit card and spend management platform with an accent on people leadership, team growth, and delivery. Focus on removing blockers, shaping technical direction, and fostering a high-performance engineering culture.

Location: Hybrid (Porto/Matosinhos, Portugal) - 2 days per week in office

What you will do

  • Lead, hire, and develop a team of engineers, focusing on their professional growth, wellbeing, and performance.
  • Partner with Product and QA to plan and ship features reliably by managing risk and removing obstacles.
  • Set the tone for team communication, feedback loops, and accountability while ensuring psychological safety.
  • Provide technical guidance on architecture decisions, technical debt, and build-vs-buy trade-offs.
  • Translate technical constraints into business outcomes for non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing engineers, including conducting 1:1s and giving developmental feedback.
  • Strong technical foundation in C# and .NET Core to maintain technical credibility with the team.
  • Product mindset with the ability to advocate for quality and manage scope effectively.
  • Ability to create clarity and lead effectively within a growing, ambiguous environment.
  • Must be based in or able to work from the Porto (Matosinhos) office 2 days per week.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Azure cloud development.
  • Familiarity with React or other frontend frameworks.
  • Background in financial services or fintech.
