What you will do

• Design clean, evolvable architecture aligned with product strategy.
• Decompose ambiguous initiatives into well-scoped, incremental delivery.
• Conduct deep code and design reviews to raise engineering standards.
• Identify and mitigate security, reliability, and performance risks early.
• Strengthen business-critical systems with measurable impact.
• Coach engineers on domain-driven design and engineering judgment.

Requirements

• Experience operating at a Staff level or ready to transition into the role.
• Strong ability to architect distributed systems and reason about scale trade-offs.
• Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and microservices.
• Must have valid work rights for New Zealand

Nice to have

• Experience with AI services such as Claude, Bedrock, and Langfuse.
• Familiarity with NodeJS, React, GraphQL, and various NoSQL databases.
