What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize ultra-low latency C++ trading components and critical execution paths for market data and order routing.
• Implement lock-free and wait-free algorithms to reduce jitter and tail latency.
• Perform system-level optimizations including CPU pinning, NUMA effects, and kernel bypass (DPDK, Solarflare).
• Ensure the correctness, determinism, and stability of production trading systems through rigorous operational discipline.
• Develop monitoring, control tooling, and risk guards using C# for non-critical execution paths.

Requirements

• Strong experience in C++ development for performance-critical or low-latency systems.
• Proven background in HFT or ultra-low latency trading environments.
• Deep understanding of CPU architecture, caches, memory models, and Linux internals.
• Expertise in concurrency, memory ordering, and working close to hardware/network layers.
• Must have existing right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship provided).

Nice to have

• Exposure to C# in trading, control, or monitoring systems.
• Experience with market data feed handlers or order gateways.
• Prior experience with market making, proprietary trading, or FPGA-assisted architectures.
