TL;DR

Fullstack Software Engineer (Python, React): Developing features for a global content and e-commerce platform with an accent on AI-driven workflows, personalization, and discovery experiences. Location: On-site in Hong Kong. Candidate must be eligible to work in Hong Kong.

What you will do

  • Ship end-to-end full stack features from design through release and operation.
  • Develop reliable backend services using Python and FastAPI with clear API contracts.
  • Create high-performance user interfaces with TypeScript and React/Next.js.
  • Build AI agents and automation workflows to enhance product and business efficiency.
  • Iterate on search, ranking, and personalization logic in collaboration with data partners.
  • Maintain internal systems and ensure production quality through rigorous automated testing.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience shipping production full stack features.
  • Proficiency in Python (FastAPI) and React with TypeScript (Next.js).
  • Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis, including schema design and query performance.
  • Ability to work autonomously and ramp up quickly across multiple codebases.
  • Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).
  • Must be eligible to work in Hong Kong.

Nice to have

  • Experience with search/discovery systems and relevance tuning.
  • Knowledge of personalization, experimentation, and analytics instrumentation.
  • Practical experience building AI assistants with guardrails and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in using AI coding agents to amplify engineering output.
