Environment Artist Intern (Gamedev)

TL;DR

Environment Artist Intern (Gamedev): Creating and integrating speedmodel assets and detailed reusable environments into the game engine with an accent on modularity and visual storytelling. Focus on designing unique gameplay and combat areas, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and resolving technical world art issues.

Location: On-site in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Must be currently enrolled in a Dutch school and able to live and work in the Netherlands.

What you will do

• Create and integrate modular speedmodel assets into the game engine.
• Design detailed reusable environments for world dressing and gameplay/combat areas.
• Develop unique environments tailored to specific gameplay requirements.
• Participate in playtesting sessions, reviews, and collaborative meetings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to World art.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Dutch school within a relevant field of study.
• Able to work on-site in Amsterdam and live and work in the Netherlands.
• Availability for an internship starting September 2026.
• Strong understanding of silhouette and composition to build visually impressive scenes.
• Passion for world building and visual storytelling.

Nice to have

• Experience with DCC packages and game engines such as Unity or Unreal.
• Good communication skills and experience working with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
