What you will do

• Create compelling hand-keyed gameplay animations including locomotion, combat, traversal, and interactive cinematics.
• Develop and implement stylized keyframe animations that convey distinct character personalities.
• Collaborate with Tech Animation, Design, and VFX teams to ensure animations function effectively within gameplay systems.
• Manage the full animation pipeline from concept to final integration and iterative feedback.
• Mentor, train, and inspire the broader animation team to foster skill growth and professional development.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience as an animator with a focus on stylized, hand-keyed action animation.
• Proficiency in Maya and practical experience implementing animations within game engines.
• Strong grasp of traditional animation principles to enhance character appeal and responsiveness.
• Proven ability to set up animation networks and integrate complex movements in-engine.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-driven approach to project ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience working on third-person action or combat-focused game titles.
• Familiarity with industry-standard development tools like JIRA, ShotGrid, and Perforce.
