Senior Technical Designer (Gamedev)

TL;DR

Senior Technical Designer (Gamedev): Implementing features and content for an unannounced AAA project with an accent on visual scripting and technical design. Location: Hybrid (Stockholm, Sweden). Must be in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

What you will do

• Operate hands-on with the in-house Apex Engine and its visual scripting editor to implement features and content.
• Script events, experiences, and systems within open-world environments.
• Draft technical design proposals to deliver on game direction and coordinate between system code and gameplay design.
• Support gameplay design in feature creation, tuning, and ensuring technical efficiency.
• Refactor and optimize feature script logic while maintaining sanitary script and file structures.
• Support and improve overall content pipelines.

Requirements

• Experience shipping at least 3 titles or a minimum of 1 AAA title.
• Proficiency with game engine editors and scripting languages.
• Ability to quickly learn and ramp up on new engines and tools.
• Strong collaborative skills and comfort bridging diverse disciplines to fill gaps.
• Must be based in Stockholm, Sweden, as relocation assistance is not available for this role.
