TL;DR
Software Engineer (Kotlin/React): Building and owning end-to-end user-facing product features for a SaaS platform for tradespeople with an accent on fullstack development across React and Kotlin services. Focus on translating product ideas into pragmatic technical solutions, maintaining software quality via CI/CD, and scaling the platform to drive MRR growth.
Location: Hybrid (2 days per week in the Berlin office, Friedrichshain)

What you will do
- Build and own user-facing product features end-to-end using React, TypeScript, and Kotlin backend services.
- Manage the full delivery lifecycle from initial design through production rollout and iteration.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to shape requirements and deliver high-impact features.
- Translate product ideas into pragmatic technical solutions within a mature codebase.
- Ensure software quality through testing, CI/CD, and production monitoring.
- Work within the Expansion Squad to create new MRR opportunities and increase product completeness.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong production experience with Java and/or Kotlin, ideally using Spring Boot.
- Proven experience building production frontend applications with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Solid understanding of API design (REST and GraphQL), data modeling, and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
- Experience with AWS services (SNS, SES, S3) and cloud-native environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
- Must be based in or able to commute to the Berlin office 2 days per week.
Nice to have
- Experience with Quarkus.
- Knowledge of Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), Jetpack Compose, or SwiftUI.
