What you will do

• Design, deploy, and manage secure AWS environments leveraging EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, and Edge Security services.
• Implement proactive security monitoring and alerting mechanisms using CloudTrail, Control Tower, GuardDuty, and Inspector.
• Coordinate vulnerability scanning, patch management, and remediation efforts, including collaboration with external penetration testing vendors.
• Assist the Information Security team in managing incident response, containment, and recovery.
• Integrate security controls into AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure and provide guidance on secure design and coding practices.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call roster to support the engineering team during incidents.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a DevSecOps Engineer focusing on security practices in AWS and Kubernetes environments.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS security features (IAM, VPC, S3, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Inspector).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Understanding of secure coding practices, API security, and vulnerability management specific to Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards including OWASP, NIST, and CIS.
• Must be based in or able to work from Malta
