Salary: $200,000 – $235,000 CAD

What you will do

• Define and lead large-scale initiatives to improve backend development frameworks, libraries, and tooling.
• Design long-term technical solutions that ensure scalability and maintainability across backend services.
• Evolve core developer tooling including static analysis, formatting systems, and service scaffolding.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and product engineering teams to execute platform improvements.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to improve code quality and development practices.

Requirements

• Extensive experience building and scaling backend systems using Go and Python.
• Deep knowledge of backend frameworks such as Django or comparable Go-based systems.
• Demonstrated experience designing internal platforms or shared infrastructure used by multiple teams.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and influence engineering direction across teams.
