Senior Platform Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Platform Engineer (DevOps): Owning the cloud infrastructure, IoT device services, and CI/CD pipelines for an EdTech company with an accent on reliability, security, and developer experience. Focus on automating infrastructure, ensuring compliance, and enabling AI capabilities across the engineering team.

Location: Hybrid in Oslo. Must already be in Norway or relocating from within the EU/EEA.

What you will do

• Automate cloud resources and policies using IaC/CaC for consistent, repeatable deployments.
• Engineer redundancy, routing, networking, and load balancing to integrate backend services with robots, mobile, and web clients.
• Own and mature observability, monitoring, and alerting.
• Build modern golden paths and secure CI/CD that make the most out of GitLab.
• Provide hands-on guidance to backend, frontend/mobile, and embedded teams.
• Make the engineering team AI-native in a safe, deliberate, and targeted way.

Requirements

• 5+ years owning AWS-based platforms in production, including Kubernetes troubleshooting under load.
• Experience scaling IoT fleets with WebRTC streaming, sockets, and REST APIs for real-time reliability.
• Proven delivery of GDPR-compliant systems, with hands-on ISO 27001 implementation and SOC 2 readiness.
• Must already be in Norway or relocating from within the EU/EEA.

Nice to have

• Experience with test automation, data platforms, and security stacks.
