Devops Engineer (Web3): Ensuring the availability of services, specifically targeting 99.99% system uptime for critical blockchain infrastructure with an accent on monitoring, observability, security, and infrastructure automation. Focus on developing and maintaining open source tools to manage a Cardano and hirify.global infrastructure in a multi-cloud or bare metal hybrid environment.

Location: This is a full-time remote role for candidates based in Asia, with 1–2 hours of daily overlap required with US or EU time zones.

hirify.global is working to apply best practices for monitoring, observability, security, and infrastructure automation to expand the multi-cloud and bare metal platforms powering our Cardano and hirify.global deployments.

What you will do

• Ensure availability of our services, specifically targeting 99.99% system uptime for critical blockchain infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain open source tools to manage a Cardano and hirify.global infrastructure in a multi-cloud or bare metal hybrid environment (AWS, Google Cloud, and bare metal).
• Actively troubleshoot issues during testing and deployment, catching and solving protocol-level bottlenecks before mainnet upgrades.
• Build and maintain pipelines for hirify.global projects using GitHub Actions and other tools to ensure a secure software development life cycle.
• Participate in the on-call rota, providing rapid mitigation for production system interruptions.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage the progressive transition from a foundation-coordinated federated validator model to a fully decentralized validator network.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years in a DevOps/SRE role, with direct experience in blockchain infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Linux-based systems and administration.
• Working knowledge of container environments and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Proficient with Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools for real-time monitoring.
• Expert in shell scripting, with knowledge of systems languages, Rust, Go and Python.
• Extensive experience configuring, scaling, monitoring, and tuning services in AWS/GC.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools, like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.

Nice to have

• Previous experience running and maintaining Cardano stake pools or partner chain nodes.
• Experience with tools like GitOps workflows and Nix for reproducible builds.
