TL;DR

Clinical Pharmacist (Medical): Prescribing and reviewing cannabis-based medicines for patients with complex conditions with an accent on clinical safety, accurate record-keeping, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Focus on delivering personalized treatment plans, handling complex clinical queries, and educating patients and staff on treatment pathways.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to London (Kings Cross). This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence during evenings and weekends.

Salary: £67.5K

What you will do

  • Clinically check and review CBPM prescriptions for safety and accuracy.
  • Prescribe medicines as an Independent Prescriber tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Provide expert guidance to prescribers and patients on treatment options.
  • Maintain patient records in strict accordance with GPhC standards.
  • Support the dispensary team by addressing complex clinical queries.
  • Deliver training on cannabis-based medicines to patients and staff.

Requirements

  • GPhC registered pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification.
  • At least 2 years of prescribing experience.
  • Experience working in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication skills for clinical and non-clinical environments.
  • Ability to manage competing demands and complex workflows efficiently.

Nice to have

  • Prior knowledge or experience with cannabis-based medicines (CBPM).
