Senior Data Scientist

TL;DR

Senior Data Scientist: Independently drive analytics initiatives for Family Experience (FamXP), Investigation analytics and Trust and Safety with an accent on impacting team and product outcomes. Focus on transforming ambiguous business questions into actionable insights while handling highly sensitive data with care and discretion.

Location: Open to multiple locations in North America (excluding CA, NY, & WA).

What you will do

• Own and deliver end-to-end analytics projects for Family Experience and Trust & Safety.
• Solve ambiguous Family Experience and Trust & Safety problems by designing analyses and evaluating options/tradeoffs.
• Build and maintain production-quality metrics, dashboards, and data models.
• Drive alignment around approach and outcomes with Trust & Safety, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Policy partners.
• Handle sensitive data related to minors and safety incidents with discretion.
• Mentor others on the team and within the product/org.

Requirements

• 6-10 years of demonstrated ability to own and deliver analytics projects.
• Strong SQL skills (Python, PySpark a plus) and experience working with large-scale datasets.
• Proven ability to solve ambiguous problems and make independent decisions on team projects.
• Experience turning messy data into production-quality metrics, dashboards, and data models.
• Strong judgment handling sensitive or regulated data.
• Ability to execute team + product/org strategy via planning and prioritization.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with version control and workflow orchestration tools (Airflow or similar).
• Domain strength in Trust & Safety and/or family experiences online.
