TL;DR

Junior DevOps Engineer (Cloud): Building and maintaining a modern analytics platform within One!Lab with an accent on cloud infrastructure, automation, and data platform scaling. Focus on designing Databricks deployments using Infrastructure as Code, optimizing processing workflows, and collaborating within a cross-functional engineering team.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from the Netherlands (Hybrid in Utrecht)

Salary: €3,447 – €4,923 gross per month

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain a large-scale analytics platform supporting over 1,500 users.
  • Automate Databricks environment deployments using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Optimize data processing workflows to ensure high performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with experienced platform engineers to manage infrastructure in Team Neptune.
  • Engage in continuous learning and knowledge sharing within a supportive team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in IT, software development, or cloud engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python and writing clean, maintainable code.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proactive mindset with strong communication skills in English.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS.
  • Previous work with Azure DevOps.
  • Experience managing proof of concepts on GitHub.
