Middle Build Engineer (AOSP)

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software integration issues, including merge conflicts and compilation errors.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA, and Production teams to ensure high-quality software releases.
• Maintain and optimize build systems using AOSP, Make, and Soong.
• Manage CI/CD workflows utilizing Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Buildkite.
• Develop automation scripts with Python and Bash to monitor build performance.
• Manage repositories and branching strategies using Git and repo tools.

Requirements

• Experience in build integration and release engineering.
• Proficiency with Android build systems (AOSP, Make, Soong).
• Strong knowledge of Git, repo, branching strategies, and manifest management.
• Ability to work in Linux environments with Python and Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Buildkite.
• Must be based in Ukraine for remote or office work.

Nice to have

• Experience with BSPs from MediaTek or Qualcomm.
• Knowledge of OTA systems and update frameworks.
• Experience with large-scale device deployments and telemetry-driven validation.
• Familiarity with Android system architecture (HAL, framework, services).
