What you will do

• Design and implement a robust data storage and retrieval system for calibration results, error logs, and performance metrics.
• Develop pipelines to automatically collect, normalize, and index calibration outputs for easy querying.
• Build tools and APIs allowing scientists to analyze success rates, failure points, and drift statistics.
• Implement time-series analysis frameworks to detect anomalies and track calibration dynamics.
• Establish data schemas, provenance, and retention standards to ensure scientific reproducibility.
• Provide visibility into hardware reliability through automated reporting and dashboards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, data infrastructure, or DevOps.
• Strong proficiency in Python and data engineering frameworks like Pandas, SQLAlchemy, or Spark.
• Expertise in time-series databases (TimescaleDB, InfluxDB, Prometheus) and log aggregation (ELK, Grafana).
• Experience designing scalable data pipelines for hardware or scientific data.
• Proficiency with observability stacks (metrics, logs, traces) and CI/CD best practices.
• Ability to translate complex operational needs into technical solutions.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with statistical analysis and anomaly detection models.
• Experience collaborating with scientists on hardware-in-the-loop systems.
