TL;DR
Senior Data Scientist (Fintech): Owning and evolving predictive modeling ecosystems to combat fraud with an accent on end-to-end model lifecycle management and production engineering. Focus on designing advanced machine learning models, optimizing feature pipelines, and leveraging vast data assets to enhance real-time decisioning.
Location: Must be based in or near New York City for a hybrid schedule (in-office Tuesdays and Thursdays).
Salary: $165,000–$230,000.

What you will do
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for fraud detection and risk decisioning.
- Own the full model lifecycle from problem framing and feature engineering to deployment and monitoring.
- Build production-ready code including training workflows and observability tooling.
- Partner with Engineering and ML Platform teams to ensure model scalability and reliability.
- Design statistical experiments and translate insights into actionable product recommendations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other team members.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in data science or machine learning within a production environment.
- 2+ years of experience leading complex projects or initiatives.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and strong SQL skills.
- Proven track record of deploying production models and managing their performance.
- Deep foundation in statistical methods, experiment design, and model interpretability.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams to productionize models.
Nice to have
- Professional experience in fraud detection.
- Experience with AWS SageMaker.
- Familiarity with Airflow, Spark, dbt, Git, Hex, or Looker.
