TL;DR

AI & Agentic Platform Intern (AI): Contributing to the design and implementation of a centralized Agentic AI platform with an accent on infrastructure orchestration, tool integration, and knowledge base configuration. Focus on building core agentic workflows, utilizing AWS-native architectures, and optimizing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines in a live enterprise environment.

Location: Must be based in London, UK. This role is hybrid with 4+ days on-site in the London office.

What you will do

• Configure and maintain core agentic AI infrastructure, including orchestration layers and runtime services within an AWS VPC.
• Build and integrate agent tooling using AWS Lambda and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.
• Develop agent skills and manage knowledge bases including vector databases and retrieval pipelines.
• Evaluate and integrate AI frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex for regulated, IP-sensitive production use.
• Support the secure deployment and user adoption of AI productivity tools like Microsoft Copilot and Claude Code.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to test and improve agentic workflows through iterative feedback.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a UK-based undergraduate degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science) with eligibility for a 13-month sandwich placement.
• Must be available to commence the placement on 01 July 2026.
• Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience building scripts or applications.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, ideally AWS.
• Understanding of containerization, REST APIs, and version control.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Knowledge of vector databases such as pgvector or Pinecone.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines or infrastructure-as-code practices (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
• Understanding of prompt engineering and multi-agent system design.
