What you will do

• Lead the design and architecture of complex, multi-stack systems and abstractions to solve recurring engineering challenges.
• Proactively evolve system architecture to minimize technical debt and ensure long-term maintainability.
• Provide systemic feedback on design documentation and pull requests to foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Act as a bridge between high-level product vision and technical implementation.
• Mentor Senior and Lead engineers to accelerate growth and establish team-wide best practices.
• Champion operational resilience by anticipating failures during design phases and advocating for high availability.

Requirements

• Must be based in Brazil.
• Professional fluency in English for global collaboration.
• Extensive experience with backend programming languages, specifically JVM-based (Java/Kotlin).
• Proven expertise in architecting and deploying solutions on AWS.
• Deep understanding of microservices and micro-frontend architectures at scale.
• Mastery of computer science fundamentals including data structures, async programming, and complexity analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience with ReactJS and TypeScript in large-scale applications.
• Track record of fostering cross-team collaboration through RFCs and tech talks.
• Experience driving engineering culture and wellbeing initiatives within a team.
