TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack): Designing and developing full-stack software solutions for smart property automation and control systems with an accent on database performance, API design, and system scalability. Location: Must be based in or near Tysons, Virginia; requires 4 days/week in-office attendance.

What you will do
- Design and develop full-stack software solutions across various platforms.
- Participate in the entire development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to final deployment.
- Research, evaluate, and apply new technologies to solve complex engineering challenges.
- Balance the need for rapid development cycles with the requirement for robust, maintainable code.
- Collaborate within a dynamic, cross-team environment to drive innovation and technical improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and experience with SQL database schema and performance optimization.
- Experience creating and maintaining unit tests.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided.
- Commitment to a 4-day-per-week in-office work schedule.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and Kafka.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools like DataDog or Prometheus.
- Experience with high-throughput service development and external API integrations.
- Experience with React or established JavaScript frameworks.
