Principal Software Engineer (AWS)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic. This is a hybrid role requiring presence in the office at least two days per week for those living within 40 miles of the Prague location.

What you will do

• Architect and maintain shared AWS-based infrastructure powering core applications.
• Develop self-service infrastructure-as-code automation using TypeScript and Python.
• Lead technical initiatives, providing innovative design recommendations to senior leadership.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to translate business requirements into functional services.
• Mentor junior engineers and consult on development best practices and patterns.
• Ensure cloud application resiliency and participate in on-call rotations for AWS infrastructure.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering or Cloud Platform Architecture.
• 4+ years of senior-level experience designing high-impact internal delivery platforms.
• Expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, including serverless and container orchestration (ECS, EKS).
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Python.
• Solid understanding of CDK and Terraform frameworks.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for a globally distributed environment.
