What you will do

• Design and develop backend services, data pipelines, and interfaces to scale personalized genomic medicine.
• Build and optimize user-facing features to improve clinician and patient experiences in digital testing platforms.
• Elevate core systems including test record databases, third-party integrations, and reporting software.
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure high-performance reliability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with clinicians, computational biologists, and engineers to deliver medical informatics systems.
• Maintain technical documentation and validation reports to meet medical industry standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expertise in Python backend frameworks (Django or Flask).
• Strong foundation in AWS cloud services (ECS, S3, Batch, EC2, Lambda).
• Proven track record of building and deploying complex products from conception to production.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work onsite in Menlo Park, CA 2-3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare-related software or medical data standards like FHIR and HL7.
• Background in building AI agents, deploying LLM-based applications, or fine-tuning machine learning models.
• Experience with verification and validation (V&V) reporting in regulated environments.
