What you will do

• Design and develop high-performance financial services using Go.
• Build and optimize large-scale calculation engines for portfolio analytics.
• Architect systems for scalability, reliability, and low latency to handle high volumes of capital and positions.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency within complex financial workflows.
• Contribute to system design, performance tuning, and infrastructure strategy.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to bridge backend services with presentation layers.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang).
• Proven background in high-data or fintech environments.
• Expertise in building scalable backend systems and distributed architecture.
• Deep understanding of performance optimization and complex data processing.
• Must be able to work from the Cardiff office at least 3 days per week.
• Proficiency in designing and maintaining robust APIs.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices and Go concurrency patterns.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP).
• Ability to leverage AI tools for development efficiency.
