TL;DR

MSc/BSc Intern (Embedded): Conducting research on Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) for battery state-of-charge (SoC) estimation in electric vehicles with an accent on developing resource-efficient algorithm fitting. Focus on designing computationally optimized models for battery management systems and evaluating their performance against state-of-the-art methods.

What you will do

• Investigate existing literature and methods related to ECM fitting using EIS.
• Develop a resource-efficient ECM fitting algorithm optimized for battery management systems.
• Implement and test algorithms on real hardware and experimental setups.
• Evaluate SoC estimation accuracy and computational efficiency.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams in the Systems Innovation Automotive department.

Requirements

• MSc or BSc student in Electronics or a related engineering field
• Strong understanding of embedded systems and signal processing
• Must be available to work on-site in Eindhoven, Netherlands
• Ability to commit to a full-time internship duration of 5 months or longer
• Proficiency in research, documentation, and technical evaluation
