What you will do

• Own and evolve the platform architecture within a Symfony-based system.
• Design and build backend services and internal service-to-service APIs.
• Optimize relational databases through query tuning and performance debugging.
• Build and scale data ingestion pipelines and event-driven workflows using GCP Pub/Sub.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks using profiling tools like Blackfire or XHProf.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and define engineering standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in backend engineering for production systems.
• Strong expertise in PHP and Symfony framework.
• Deep understanding of scalability, concurrency, and distributed system reliability.
• Hands-on experience with GCP or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in MySQL optimization and Elasticsearch search strategies.
• Experience with containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Experience with PHP API Platform.
• Exposure to multi-tenant systems or rules-based configuration models.
• Familiarity with frontend tools like React or Next.js.
