Data Engineer (GCP)

TL;DR

Data Engineer (GCP): Building and migrating data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform with an accent on Cloud Composer and BigQuery. Focus on designing robust data integration workflows, leveraging SQL and Python, and supporting large-scale data migrations.

Location: Must be based in Portugal or able to work hybrid (2 days/week) in Porto or Lisbon. Requires EU citizenship or valid Portuguese work permit.

What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Execute complex data migration projects using GCP services.
• Implement and orchestrate workflows using Cloud Composer and Apache Airflow.
• Optimize SQL queries and Python-based data processing scripts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data modeling with warehouse requirements.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering on GCP.
• Fluency in French and English (B2 level required).
• Proven experience with BigQuery, Cloud Composer, and Airflow.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Valid right to work in Portugal (EU citizenship or valid work permit).
• Availability for a hybrid work model in Porto or Lisbon (2 times a week).

Nice to have

• Experience with Dataflow and other GCP migration tools (DMS).
• Data visualization skills using Power BI.
• Familiarity with Data Vault modeling concepts.
