What you will do

• Contribute to the entire development cycle of large deep learning models
• Prepare datasets, design architectures, and train/evaluate models to improve product efficacy
• Translate research findings into practical, clinically impactful applications
• Develop novel solutions for long-term research goals
• Turn research ideas into robust, production-ready code
• Contribute to the academic community through research publications

Requirements

• PhD or currently enrolled in a PhD program in CS, Machine Learning, or a highly technical field
• Track record of research publications in peer-reviewed venues
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow
• Proven ability to design experiments and interpret complex results
• Must have or be able to obtain work authorization in Portugal

Nice to have

• First-author publications in top-tier AI conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, etc.)
• Expertise in LLMs, multimodal learning, or reinforcement learning
• Research excellence demonstrated through grants, patents, or open-source contributions
• Experience in highly quantitative fields such as Physics or Applied Mathematics
