Safeguards Enforcement Lead (AI): Owns the end-to-end enforcement strategy against unauthorized frontier model abuse with an accent on detection signal development through enforcement action and post-enforcement measurement. Focus on ensuring detection coverage keeps pace with evolving frontier abuse tactics and maintaining rigorous documentation of enforcement decisions.
Location: San Francisco, CA | New York City, NY | Washington, DC. Currently, all staff are expected to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time.
Salary: $230,000 - $270,000 USD

What you will do
- Own the end-to-end enforcement strategy against unauthorized frontier model abuse.
- Operationalize detection and review pipelines, translating leads into structured review workflows.
- Drive enforcement actions for high-priority actors, synthesizing signals into enforcement packages.
- Partner with Legal and Policy to assess case strength and support enforcement escalations.
- Close the loop between enforcement outcomes and upstream improvements.
- Collaborate with Threat Intelligence, Research, Engineering, and Policy partners to ensure detection coverage.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in trust & safety, abuse enforcement, fraud investigation, policy, or a related field.
- Track record of building detection and enforcement approaches for novel or emerging abuse vectors.
- Experience supporting or directly contributing to formal enforcement actions.
- Strong data analysis skills, comfortable navigating complex datasets.
- Experience conducting structured investigations, including open-source intelligence techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous policy questions into defensible enforcement decisions.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with the AI/ML ecosystem.
- Experience conducting threat actor profiling or open-source investigations.
- Experience working with generative AI products.
- Background or interest in AI policy, IP enforcement, competitive intelligence, or AI governance.
- Experience coordinating with external enforcement partners or platform partners on escalated enforcement actions.
