What you will do

• Own and evolve security standards across Phorest, ensuring they are practical and up-to-date.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize security tooling across the AWS environment.
• Lead security assessments across infrastructure and applications, prioritizing vulnerabilities based on risk.
• Partner with engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
• Lead the triage and analysis of security alerts and incidents, providing clear guidance on remediation.
• Act as a go-to security point of contact across the business, supporting teams in making secure decisions.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of threat detection, vulnerability management, and secure development practices.
• Hands-on experience securing cloud environments (AWS), with experience across areas like IAM, networking, and threat detection.
• Comfortable working with modern engineering tooling and environments (e.g., Git, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines).
• Ability to independently carry out security reviews, threat modeling, and technical assessments.
• Working knowledge of scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash, JavaScript) to automate or enhance security workflows.
• Collaborative mindset, seeing security as an enabler and building strong relationships with engineers and stakeholders.
