Node.js Full Stack Developer

We are looking for a skilled and self-driven Node.js Full Stack Developer who can take ownership of an advanced software system and drive its completion, enhancement, and scaling. You will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining a modern application that involves intelligent workflows, integrations, and scalable backend architecture.

Location: Suva, Fiji Employment Type: Full-Time (On-site) Experience Required: Minimum 3+ Years

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of an existing application and continue development
• independently
• Design and develop robust backend services using Node.js
• Build and enhance frontend interfaces (React / Angular / Vue preferred)
• Work on API development, integrations, and data flow optimization
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and security
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand business workflows
• Implement clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Handle deployments, debugging, and production support
• Improve existing modules and introduce new features

Technical Skills Required

Backend:

• Strong expertise in Node.js (Express / NestJS preferred)
• RESTful API design and development

Frontend:

• Experience with React / Angular
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles

Database:

• Experience with PostgreSQL / SQL
• Query optimization and schema design

Other Skills:

• Git version control
• API integrations (3rd party systems)
• Understanding of scalable architecture
• Basic DevOps knowledge (Docker, CI/CD is a plus)

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience working on intelligent or data-driven applications
• Familiarity with automation workflows
• Experience handling real-time systems (WebSockets, queues)

Candidate Profile

Relocation & Contract Details (For India-Based Talent)

1. Phase 1 (The Kickoff): 6-month initial contract on-site in Suva, Fiji.
2. Phase 2 (The Break): Return home to India for 2 months to recharge.
3. Phase 3 (The Commitment): Return to Fiji for a 3-year consecutive term.
4. Vacation Policy: During the 3-year term, enjoy 1 month of paid salary leave annually to visit India.
5. Accommodation: We provide your housing here in Fiji!

Note: 1st Air travel to/from India would be provided by the company. After that, airfare for all travel to/from India is the responsibility of the candidate. Candidates have to cover their own meals, groceries, and personal expenses.
