TL;DR

AI Researcher (Rendering): Leading research efforts on generative video models with an accent on Neural Avatar, Talking-Head, and Lip-sync. Focus on building lifelike, expressive avatars for real-time applications and productionizing research with the Applied ML team.

Location: Preferably hybrid in San Francisco, open to remote candidates. Relocation to San Francisco is offered.

Salary: $160K - $250K

What you will do

• Lead research efforts on generative video models (e.g., Neural Avatar, Talking-Head, Lip-sync).
• Work with the Applied ML team to help productionize research.
• Stay relevant with the latest advancements in the field.

Requirements

• Be a recent or soon-to-be PhD graduate, or have 2–3 years of hands-on experience applying diffusion models.
• Have strong foundations in generative modeling, with a focus on image or video synthesis.
• Have deep experience with diffusion models (DDPMs, LDMs, etc.) for either image or video domains.
• Be fluent in PyTorch and comfortable working with GPU-based inference.
• Show evidence of original research with publications in top-tier or solid second-tier venues (e.g., CVPR, NeurIPS, BMVC).
• Be excited about building lifelike, expressive avatars for real-time applications.

Nice to have

• Skills in 3D graphics, Gaussian splatting, or large-scale training setups.
• Additional experience with generative models and rendering.
• PhD or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading research teams.
• Knowledge of best practices in Software Development.
