What you will do

• Conduct research on large language modeling and adaptation for Conversational Avatars.
• Develop methods to model verbal and non-verbal conversational behaviors in real time.
• Experiment with fine-tuning, adaptation, and conditioning techniques for LLMs.
• Collaborate with the Applied ML team to transition research prototypes into production systems.
• Stay current with cutting-edge AI advancements to help shape the technical roadmap.

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent research experience in a relevant field.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, VLMs, and generative language models.
• Proven ability to fine-tune and adapt LLMs for specific control or conditioning tasks.
• Strong background in deep learning and foundation model methodology.
• Proficiency in PyTorch and building deep learning pipelines.
• Must be based in the U.S. or Europe.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of large-scale model training and optimization.
• Broad understanding of generative AI across multiple modalities.
• Experience with software development best practices.
• Publications in top-tier conferences like NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, or EMNLP.
