TL;DR

Workday Cross Functional Lead (HRIS): Managing the internal functional support team and driving the digital transformation of the People & Culture ecosystem with an accent on system governance, platform health, and continuous module improvement. Focus on translating business strategies into automated solutions and maintaining high-level technical expertise across Workday Core HCM, Recruitment, and Talent modules.

Location: Must be based in Australia with legal right to work and live in the country.

What you will do

  • Lead and mentor a team of internal Workday Functional Analysts, prioritizing daily support and project delivery.
  • Oversee system governance, data integrity, security compliance, and successful execution of semi-annual Workday releases.
  • Manage the external AMS provider relationship, acting as the primary point of contact for complex Tier 3 escalations.
  • Collaborate with technology and business leaders to maintain the platform roadmap and drive process optimization.
  • Provide expert guidance across Core HCM, Recruitment, Compensation, and Talent modules.

Requirements

  • Must have existing legal right to work and live in Australia.
  • Extensive expertise in a Functional Lead, Architect, or Senior Analyst capacity within Workday.
  • Advanced configuration skills in modules such as Core HCM, Recruitment, Compensation, and Talent.
  • Proven people leadership experience with a track record of mentoring teams.
  • Strong vendor management skills, particularly in governing external Application Management Services.
  • Exceptional communication skills for bridging technical concepts with non-technical stakeholders.
