Network Engineer

TL;DR

Network Engineer (System Engineering): Designing, installing, maintaining, and evaluating complex multi-enclave network systems within government environments with an accent on secure infrastructure, protocol management, and cross-domain solutions. Focus on troubleshooting critical incidents, implementing cloud networking (AWS GovCloud), and automating network processes using IaC.

Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Chantilly, VA

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain network hardware, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Gather user network requirements and produce technical documentation and security requirement plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical network incidents involving various protocols and topologies.
• Improve processes for deploying and maintaining network infrastructure.
• Address interoperability issues across features, components, and application dependencies.
• Assist with network architecture design, feasibility studies, and cost analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in cyber operations or related network engineering.
• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for SCI and a CI polygraph.
• Strong understanding of multi-enclave network environments.
• Advanced proficiency with Cisco, Arista, SonicWall, firewall management, and cloud networking (AWS GovCloud).
• Experience with SAFe Agile framework.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications such as CCNP or CCIE.
• Experience with Nutanix.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools.
