What you will do
- Collaborate with clinicians and product teams to identify and implement high-impact AI use cases.
- Rapidly prototype AI solutions using modern tools like OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, and Pinecone.
- Develop and maintain AI agent workflows with a focus on scalability and patient safety.
- Integrate AI capabilities with backend API services to ensure robust and observable deployment.
- Design and manage complex prompt engineering, evaluation, and optimization pipelines.
- Define internal AI technical standards and ethical practices as the first AI-focused hire.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in AI engineering, including RAG, agentic workflows, and model evaluation.
- 5+ years of full-stack or backend engineering experience with a history of technical ownership.
- Deep understanding of LLM internals and foundation model architecture.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience shipping production software end-to-end.
- Familiarity with the intersection of audio processing and conversational AI.
- English proficiency required for collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with voice AI agents using WebRTC/Websockets (e.g., LiveKit, Pipecat).
- Expertise in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and data mining.
- Knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud infrastructure for scaling AI applications.
- Experience with HIPAA compliance and healthcare data standards like FHIR or HL7.
