About the Role

You will independently drive projects end-to-end: discover problems, gather requirements, design architecture, implement solutions, deploy them, and run production operations. You will build and maintain high-load backend services and SDKs in Node.js/TypeScript, design reliable distributed systems, optimize databases, own CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code, and maintain observability (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting). You will integrate with EVM-compatible chains and Solana for on-chain indexing and transaction processing, write and document architectural decisions, lead design reviews, mentor engineers, proactively address technical debt and reliability risks, and communicate trade-offs and progress clearly.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend development experience with strong Node.js/TypeScript expertise
• Proven ability to work autonomously and deliver without constant oversight
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems including databases, caching, message brokers, networking, and consistency models
• Production experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, gRPC, Kubernetes, and AWS
• Strong understanding of deployment and operations: CI/CD, container orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring and alerting
• Excellent testing discipline
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Fluent Russian for internal communication and confident English for documentation and technical discussions

Responsibilities

• Drive projects end-to-end from discovery to production
• Gather requirements and propose solutions
• Design system architecture and write ADRs
• Design and build backend services and SDKs in Node.js/TypeScript
• Design database schemas and optimize queries and indexes
• Ensure system reliability with graceful degradation, idempotency, retries, and backpressure
• Own deployment pipeline and production environment (CI/CD, container orchestration, IaC)
• Build and maintain observability: metrics, logging, tracing, alerting
• Integrate with EVM and Solana blockchains and index on-chain events
• Mentor engineers and lead design reviews
• Identify and address technical debt and performance bottlenecks
• Communicate risks, trade-offs, and progress proactively
