What you will do

  • Design and evolve backend services and public APIs that power products including notifications, authentication, and platform features.
  • Own technical features end-to-end, from architectural design through implementation and rollout.
  • Collaborate closely with product management and front-end teams to prioritize and ship iterative product improvements.
  • Ensure services are observable, resilient, and performant in production within a Kubernetes-based cloud environment.
  • Act as a key technical contributor to a product-driven roadmap, making high-impact decisions under tight deadlines.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of backend engineering experience in a modern cloud environment.
  • Proficiency in Go (Golang) or ability to ramp up quickly.
  • Experience designing and evolving public APIs for cross-product consumption.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, containers, and Kubernetes.
  • Must be located in North America or the UK.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced, remote-first startup environment.
