Location: Hybrid in Taipei, Taiwan

Company

hirify.global's Mixed Signal Product Division is seeking an experienced Hardware Applications Engineer to join our high performance team of engineers supporting our boosted audio amplifier products.

What you will do

  • Provide direct engineering support for customers and field application engineers.
  • Support the design and review of customers PCB schematics and layouts.
  • Execute customer-application focused data collection and circuit analysis.
  • Lead the design of customer development boards for new audio amplifier products.
  • Develop customer collateral such as application notes and tech reports.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross functional teams around the world to support customer requests.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, MS preferred, with 5+ years experience in the acoustic industry.
  • Experience with audio amplifiers and power electronics.
  • Proven experience debugging customer system level issues.
  • Experience with circuit board schematic and layout design.
  • Strong hands-on experience analyzing and evaluating audio products with lab equipment.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in understanding of various industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, I2S.

Nice to have

  • Understand audio signal processing algorithms and techniques.
  • Experience with audio analysis software, MATLAB, and/or Excel mathematical analysis.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams and customer.
  • Experience with the requirements of the PC and mobile markets.
  • Proficient in writing MATLAB and Python scripts.
