Location: Onsite in Santa Monica, California, United States of America, four days per week. Work arrangements may change at the company's discretion to meet business needs.

Salary: $80,800.00 - $149,400.00 Annual

What you will do

• Develop the foundational lore for a new intellectual property.
• Collaborate with the narrative team and other departments to create game locations, characters, and plots.
• Write and revise game dialogue and cinematic scripts.
• Take narrative ownership of a key narrative feature of the game.
• Design, write, and implement all types of storytelling and in-game text.
• Assist with character casting, and prepare scripts for and attend VO and Mocap sessions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a professional Narrative Designer.
• Demonstrable and strong skills as a writer and editor.
• Ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks in a confidential environment.
• Creativity in problem-solving and a positive, respectful team-first attitude.
• Experience pitching game narrative concepts in a clear, detailed manner.

Nice to have

• Experience with writing for AAA games.
• One or more shipped titles.
• Experience with technical narrative design (implementation in tools, visual scripting, etc.).
• Published writing (novels, short fiction, film, television, comics, etc.).
