What you will do

• Design and build internal tools and SDKs in Go or Java for database interaction.
• Implement schema management, cost optimization, and performance guardrails.
• Architect tiered storage strategies for multi-petabyte environments using S3 and Glacier.
• Tune database engines like RDS Aurora and DynamoDB for high-throughput query performance.
• Develop instrumentation to monitor database health and mitigate I/O bottlenecks.
• Establish patterns for database failover, replication, and disaster recovery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Go or Java engineer
• Expert knowledge of AWS database and storage internals (RDS Aurora, DynamoDB, DocumentDB)
• Hands-on experience with AWS S3, Glacier, and storage class optimization
• Proven track record of building or managing high-throughput distributed data systems
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Excellent English communication skills required
