TL;DR

Design Engineer (SaaS): Leading technical and design implementation for enterprise customer projects with an accent on frontend customization and UX/UI strategy. Focus on translating business needs into high-quality, accessible, and brand-consistent platform solutions within a React-based ecosystem.

Location: Must be based in or commute to Dresden, Berlin, Chemnitz, or Leipzig, Germany (Hybrid model).

What you will do

  • Act as a trusted technical and design advisor for enterprise customers.
  • Translate complex business requirements into high-quality UI/UX and frontend solutions.
  • Enable customers to build modern, brand-consistent applications using custom configuration and AI tools.
  • Design and implement frontend features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
  • Lead workshops with technical and design teams to define project roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with Product Designers, UX researchers, and Success Managers to influence product priorities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in frontend development or SaaS technical consulting.
  • Business-fluent German and English communication skills.
  • Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React.
  • Proficiency with design tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and component-based design systems.
  • Experience with JSON, XML, and API-driven architectures.

Nice to have

  • Background in Visual Communication, Interaction Design, or Web Engineering.
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS.
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
