What you will do

• Plan, design, and deploy carrier ethernet in the telecom domain.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Implement and maintain network security policies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and network access control (NAC).
• Troubleshoot network problems, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to ensure network stability and performance.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and policies, and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
• Track performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing configurations.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or tertiary qualification in computer science, telecommunications, engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant industry certifications such as Cisco (CCIE, CCNA, CCNP) are highly valued.
• Strong understanding of IP protocols (including OSPF, BGP), networking concepts, and technologies.
• Experience designing and implementing telecom network architectures, primarily IP-based mobile core network.
• Familiarity with data center fabric technologies including ACI and EVPN-VXLAN.
• Design and configuration of telco grade firewalls and security policy management, preferably Fortinet, F5 and checkpoint firewalls.
