Location: Must be living and working in the Netherlands. This is a hybrid role (40% office, 40% home, 20% flexible).

Salary: €80,000–€115,000 (gross annual, including FlexBudget and holiday allowance).

What you will do

• Design and implement in-house optimization models to support trading and operational excellence.
• Develop and maintain an in-house SDK for model deployment.
• Translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Break down high-level requirements into actionable, deliverable software components.

Requirements

• Location: Must be currently living and working in the Netherlands.
• 3+ years of experience in Python development.
• 5+ years of experience with mathematical optimization in Python (or 3+ years with a relevant Master’s degree).
• Expertise in at least one optimization framework (Gurobi, CVXPY, or CPLEX).
• Proficiency with containerization (Docker), library development, databases, and Git.

Nice to have

• Experience with data engineering (pre-/post-processing, data sanitization).
• Understanding of cloud-native development (Azure preferred).
• Experience in the energy sector.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
