What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of detection engineers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Define and drive the detection engineering lifecycle to identify threats and manage a prioritized security backlog.
• Build and lead a metrics-driven program to measure detection coverage, fidelity, and response impact.
• Partner with incident response and threat intelligence teams to guide threat hunting strategies and rapid detection deployment.
• Oversee the operationalization of log telemetry into actionable security detections using hirify.global platforms.
• Set quarterly OKRs to advance detection coverage across AI, cloud, supply chain, and network attack surfaces.

Requirements

• Must be located in or willing to work from the Paris office.
• 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring engineers in security operations, threat hunting, or detection engineering.
• Strong understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container technologies like Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Python or Go for tool development and detection automation.
• Track record of cross-functional collaboration and delivering measurable security outcomes.
• Strong communication skills to advocate for the team mission across the organization.
