What you will do

• Design and implement high-performance, reliable data systems and services including Spark, ETL, and storage.
• Improve scalability, stability, and efficiency of existing large-scale data platforms.
• Build libraries, frameworks, or end-to-end systems with high test coverage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues through root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with product owners to deliver data tools for automating large-scale tasks.
• Contribute to data lineage, quality, and exchange initiatives.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software and data engineering.
• Expert-level knowledge of Apache Spark (design, tuning, debugging).
• Proficiency in Java or Scala with deep JVM understanding.
• Strong SQL skills and data architecture knowledge.
• Experience with Big Data ecosystems like Hadoop, S3, and Kafka.
• Experience debugging distributed systems in production environments.

Nice to have

• Experience in Data Infrastructure or Platform teams.
• Experience working with multi-datacenter and multi-petabyte environments.
• Knowledge of Kubeflow, data lineage, or quality systems.
• Open-source contribution experience.
