Sr. Software Engineer (Self-Hosted): Building and improving product features and tooling to streamline self-hosted installations for customers with an accent on Kubernetes deployment configurations and ensuring a seamless experience. Location: Remote (Ireland). You can work fully remotely from anywhere in Ireland. You can make use of our hirify.global office space in Dublin to meet up with other members of the engineering team when you wish.

What you will do
- Drive the technical direction of our self-hosted delivery and design product features that work seamlessly across cloud and self-hosted environments.
- Build and improve the software that powers how customers install, configure, upgrade, and operate hirify.global in their own infrastructure.
- Write and review high quality, well tested code to ensure that we're creating a stable product for our customers, and a stress-free codebase for ourselves.
- Identify important problems to solve across our self-hosted stack, shape the technical approach, and share the responsibility of making our team better.
- Own the problems you're solving - from scoping ambiguous challenges through to production and beyond, responding to customer feedback to improve those solutions.
- Use your knowledge to mentor other engineers in our team, providing support and guidance to help them grow their abilities.
Requirements
- Roughly 7+ years as a professional software engineer with a proven track record of success as a senior software engineer.
- Direct experience of building and delivering software using a high-level programming language.
- Experience building software for containerized or self-hosted deployment environments is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration concepts.
- Customer obsessed and willing to go deep into unfamiliar stacks to find root causes for errors, performance issues, and bugs.
- Excited to pitch in anywhere when needed, with the support of your teammates.
