What you will do

• Act as a quality partner embedding best practices and driving continuous improvement in testing and quality engineering.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in energy billing systems ensuring appropriate test coverage.
• Define and implement test strategies covering functional, integration, and automation testing.
• Lead test automation initiatives and mentor automation engineers to improve coverage and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and client delivery teams to align on quality objectives.
• Communicate clearly on quality status, risks, and improvements across distributed teams.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Romania.
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher required.
• 5+ years of software development or QA automation experience using Behaviour Driven Development (BDD).
• Experience with manual and automated test harnesses, REST API testing, and frameworks like Playwright and Jest.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Cucumber, HTTP request/assert libraries, and CLI tools such as GIT.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale energy or utilities platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based architectures.
