What you will do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical problems and ensure system integration.
- Design, develop, and test maintainable, modular software applications using Java or Kotlin.
- Apply database design principles to meet data requirements and ensure high performance.
- Debug and trace issues within complex microservices architectures to maintain established SLAs.
- Proactively identify and address potential reliability issues through SLI/SLO monitoring.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering team members.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong background in designing and maintaining complex distributed systems.
- Expertise in object-oriented programming (Java or Kotlin) and REST API design.
- Demonstrated ability to implement software reliability engineering solutions.
- Experience with database design and data structure optimization.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and participate effectively in design and code reviews.
Nice to have
- Proven track record in setting up automated testing and monitoring frameworks.
- Experience establishing best practices for production readiness and documentation.
- Prior experience in leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineering staff.
