Salary: $253,895–$298,700 USD annually

What you will do

• Define and drive the technical strategy and architecture for the Data Platform across ingestion, transformation, warehousing, streaming, and serving systems.
• Develop and execute multi-quarter roadmaps focused on engineering-led cost reduction and infrastructure scalability.
• Architect data infrastructure to natively support AI and ML workloads, including fraud detection and multi-agent AI architectures.
• Enable near-real-time data availability for downstream teams.
• Lead cross-functional alignment with senior leadership and partners across product, infrastructure, data engineering, analytics, ML, privacy, security, and compliance.
• Serve as the primary technical voice for the Data Platform domain in organizational forums and planning.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States with ability to participate in in-person events and offsites.
• Deep experience building and operating large-scale distributed data infrastructure including streaming platforms, data lakes, and real-time processing engines.
• Strong systems thinking with expertise in performance, reliability, cost, security, and privacy across the data lifecycle.
• Proven experience transitioning teams from managed services to engineering-built platform-grade infrastructure.
• Experience designing data systems supporting ML training pipelines, feature stores, real-time inference, or AI agent workloads at scale.
• Track record owning technical strategy and architecture across multiple teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-scale fintech, crypto, or financial services companies.
• Familiarity with compliance, data governance, or regulatory data requirements.
• Experience with change data capture (CDC), Kafka Connect, or real-time ETL pipelines.
• Experience working on Databricks and/or Snowflake.
• Experience operating large scale data platforms on public cloud infrastructure.
